Touch: The Universal Language
Touch: The Universal Language

Research shows that all touch experiences leave lasting impressions on a developing infant's brain and sensory system. By assessing each infant's readiness to touch and his or her capacity to interact helps to ensure a positive experience for the infant, the parent and the caregiver. Family Attachment through TouchSM and Touch: The Art and Science of Infant HandlingSM provide evidence-based content to support developmentally appropriate handling and active parental involvement at the bedside.
